Benmarl in Marlboro: vines since the 1800s, holds NY Farm Winery License No. 1; hillside tasting with valley views, summer music, and wood-fired pizza.
We come for the hand-crafted estate wines: rosés and rieslings, usually paired with a cheese board sourced from nearby farms. The tasting room sits high on the 37-acre estate with the Hudson River Valley spread out below, a view that shifts with the season and the light.
Weekends bring wood-fired pizza from the on-site oven (seasonal, so call ahead), along with a sangria festival in July and grape stomping in September and October. Friday evenings from June through October, live music plays from 6 to 9pm with the kitchen and bar open until close.
