The Piermont Farmers Market runs every Sunday from 10 to 3, rain or shine, right on the Hudson River in Flywheel Park. The market is known locally as the SOUK, and it has kept that name and its year-round Sunday slot going through Hudson Valley winters that shut down most other regional markets.
Vendors shift with the seasons, but we find fresh bread and pastries, cheese, nuts and dried fruit, honey, prepared foods, and a produce table or two even in January, plus jewelry and pottery from local makers. Piermont's Main Street backs directly against the park, so a market visit turns into a walk past the galleries, cafes, and shops that make the village worth stopping for off Route 9W.
