From the parking area off Depot Hill Road, it's about a mile of steady climbing through hemlock stands and rocky outcrops to the 1,329-foot wooded summit. The Appalachian Trail marks the way with white blazes, though old woods roads and side paths branch off and can confuse your navigation, especially through the denser sections. Continue on to the rocky overlook just past the summit, then loop back to your car for a roughly three-mile circuit.
