Eastdale Village in Poughkeepsie packs 60 acres of shops, restaurants, and apartments into a walkable grid with a rotating farmers market at the center.
Eastdale Village is Poughkeepsie's answer to a walkable town center built from scratch: 60 acres and roughly 120,000 square feet of shops and restaurants wrapped around more than 400 apartments, all connected by sidewalks instead of parking lots. Park once and cover coffee, lunch, and an errand or two without moving the car.
The tenant list has filled in with a real mix: Buns Burgers, Chakra Bowls, Eastdale Ave Bagels, The Crafted Kup, Spoons Ice Cream and More, and Rossi and Sons Alimentari, plus an Athena2Go outpost of the LaGrangeville gyro spot. Fruition Chocolate Works, the Shokan chocolatier known well beyond the county, opened a retail shop here.
