Kaaterskill Falls has drawn painters and writers since the 19th century, featured in paintings, essays, and poetry. The two-tier cascade plunges 260 feet into a rocky amphitheater. It runs torrential in spring from snowmelt, misty in summer, and is surrounded by foliage in fall.
