Candlestock in Woodstock has hand-poured candles since 1969. The eight-foot Drip Candle Mountain from 50-plus years of burned wax is worth the stop.
This Mill Hill Road storefront has been pouring candles since 1969, and it still feels like a multi-room maze for wandering. We find beeswax tapers, scented pillars, novelty shapes modeled on local wildlife, and votives meant to burn through in a week. Everything here is family-made on site, and the counter staff will gift-wrap anything we buy, no charge, no occasion required. The objects themselves are the draw.
