The Trapani family moved to this Milton hilltop from Brooklyn in 1943 to grow fruit. Four generations later, Nicolas Bozzo, grandson of Joseph Trapani Sr., continues their farming tradition. After studying landscape architecture at SUNY ESF and spending part of his senior year in New Zealand learning winery design, Nicolas planted the vineyard in 2010.
The 65-acre farm keeps three crops in rotation: 10 acres of wine grapes, seedless table grapes for fresh eating, and roughly 15 acres of apples.
