Mill House Brewing Company in Poughkeepsie was born from Kold One, a homebrew from a birthday kit. Award-winning beers, farm menus, Sunday brunch.
Jamie Bishop and Larry Stock have been friends since the first day of fifth grade. Bishop was working in medical sales, Stock in construction, and they home-brewed for fun on a kit Bishop's wife gave him as a birthday present. Kold One, a Kolsch-Pilsner hybrid, came out of that basement setup in 2012. A year later the two of them and three other partners opened Mill House Brewing Company in this Mill Street building, and it's still the beer most order first.
