Peekamoose Blue Hole is a glacier-carved swimming hole in the Slide Mountain Wilderness, fed by a waterfall off Rondout Creek. The water is clear enough to see the bottom in the deeper sections. The pool sits ringed by hemlock and flat rock ledges built for towel-drying in the sun.
The water stays cold year-round, 60 to 65 degrees even in August.
