The shop is a converted barn on Broadway with a bright yellow spiral staircase draped in plants running through the middle of the room. Ackley and Farjam met at Bard, moved back to Tivoli with two young kids, and built it out themselves, with their thoughtfulness showing everywhere.
Ackley makes every batch on-site and buys the fruit close: Montgomery Place Orchards, Mead Orchards, Fix Bros., and Rose Hill Farm, with dairy exclusively from Ronnybrook. Vanilla, chocolate, and mint chocolate chip are constants, but the seasonal rotation is where it gets interesting.
