Mead Orchards has been a working farm since the early 1900s, family-run then and now. The pick-your-own operation is central to the farm's original identity, a business that has endured on the same ground for over a century. The orchard grows over 50 apple varieties along with spray-free blueberries, cherries, and peaches, cycling through whichever fruit is at its peak as the season moves along, so what's ripe in early September isn't what's ripe in mid-October.
Fall is when Mead turns it on.
