The Crow's Nest in Red Hook stocks goods from women-owned makers: Ghanaian baskets, Nepali rugs, Moroccan pottery, and Hudson Valley photography.
Sarah opened The Crow's Nest after years in interior design, including work with Holly Hunt and Stephanie Odegard, and after moving back to the Hudson Valley five years ago. She'd grown up visiting Red Hook with her family and always meant to return. Her parents were both designers, and you can see it in how the shop is arranged, closer to a well-edited living room than a typical gift shop.
Everything comes from women-owned or socially responsible makers, sourced locally and globally.

Our take is in the guide
We went to The Crow's Nest. Here's where it lands.
Everything above is free and stays free. The guide adds the part that took the driving: the tier we gave The Crow's Nest, whether we'd go back, and the caveat we'd tell a friend — plus the same for 459 other places across the Hudson Valley, NY.
One-time purchase. Permanent access and every future revision included.
