Chris Hebert opened the Hudson Mercantile after years at Toad Hall, the design shop inside Manhattan's ABC Home, where he worked with design professionals Allen Ransome and Randall Van Syoc. The 10,000-square-foot space on Allen Street reflects that training: nothing feels crowded, even with McCobb mid-century case pieces sitting next to French Bergere chairs and a rotating slate of fine art.
Hebert doesn't curate alone. He shares the floor with a roster of specialist dealers: Stephanie Lloyd, Frank Swim, Luddite, Out Dated, Josh Steenburgh, SouthRoad Antiques, Walter Kingston, UpStately, and HG Limited.
