Korean food and live music at The Avalon Lounge in Catskill: pajeon, kimbap, and soju. Three rooms with bar, pool table, dance floor.
The Avalon Lounge occupies three rooms within one Church Street storefront: a street-level bar, an upstairs lounge with a pool table, and a back performance room with a dance floor that clears out for the band. The bar runs a Korean kitchen, turning out house kimchi, pork dumplings, a tofu bowl regulars order by name, crisp pajeon (scallion pancake), and kimbap rolls, alongside sake, soju, Korean beer, and a short wine and cocktail list. Order from the bartender and the food finds you. The kitchen closes at 10 on weeknights and 11 on weekends, though the bar stays open later.
