This creekside market at 145 Water Street is one of the better things about living in Catskill. It's small enough that you recognize half the line and reliable enough that you build a Sunday morning around it. May through October, vendors set up rain or shine under a pavilion with live music most weeks.
The vendor list is what draws people back: sourdough and croissants from See and Be Kitchen, pickles from Spacey Tracy, pork, beef, and produce from Hickory Creek Farm out of Claverack, organic vegetables and eggs from Rolling Hill Farm, wild and cultivated mushrooms from Crown Fungi, and coffee from Citiot Coffee, a Catskill roaster. Subversive Malting & Brewing runs a farmhouse-brewery scratch kitchen alongside its beer. When the Egg Man shows up, his breakfast sandwiches sell out before 11.
Arrive early if you want the bread, the pickles, or a full sandwich lineup. Some of the best vendors sell out well before the 1pm close.
