Slow-fashion boutique and CFDA-approved garment factory in one at Made X Hudson in Catskill. Watch cutting and sewing upstairs, shop below.
Sergio Guadarrama, who also owns Celestino Couture, opened Made X Hudson in 2020 after watching the pandemic mask shortage expose how few garment factories are left in the US. He built a CFDA-approved cut-and-sew atelier in Catskill that runs on some of the lowest minimum order quantities of any American factory, aimed at small, independent designers who'd otherwise have nowhere to produce a short run. Eric De Feo, founder of the Hudson Community Incubator, came on as co-founder, and in late 2022 Sergio's partner Kade Johnson joined too.
The flagship shop on Catskill's Main Street opened in March 2023, right below the working factory floor; Kade designed it to feel like a warm hug rather than a typical retail floor.
