Mark Morganelli opened the original Jazz Forum as a Manhattan loft in 1979, running it for four years before spending more than two decades presenting jazz at Tarrytown Music Hall. In 2017, he and his wife Ellen Prior opened this room on Dixon Lane: 85 to 90 seats depending on the night, no elevated stage, and a listening-room hush that puts you close enough to see a saxophonist's fingering. DownBeat has named it a Top Jazz Venue three times, rare recognition for a room this size outside Manhattan.
