Mike and Alicia Love opened Coffee Labs in 2003, making it Westchester County's first real specialty roaster. You can still smell the beans roasting the moment you walk in on Main Street. Everything is roasted in-house in small batches, and they buy direct from farmers rather than through a broker, a practice they call Farmer Direct.
That commitment to transparency and fair pricing earned them Westchester's first National Living Wage Certification, and the roastery itself runs on wind and water power.
The counter runs single-origin pour-overs alongside a handful of house blends, and the baristas will walk you through the difference. Local art rotates on the walls, dogs are welcome, and the roastery has since added a second location in Eastchester. It's a small room with a serious roasting operation behind it, built for people who know what they want.
