Mikey Lenane grew up in nearby Coxsackie and had been itching to get back to the Hudson Valley from his years at Sixpoint Brewery in Brooklyn. When three colleagues there (Jack Liakas, JD Linderman, and Bob Wise) wanted to build something upstate, it was the moment he'd been waiting for. Return opened in 2021.
The 4,000-square-foot converted warehouse, split between indoor seating and an outdoor patio, runs from straightforward tavern styles to what most breweries don't touch: Eastern European farmhouse raw ales, mixed fermentation, old-world sour tonics, and an Archive program that's been quietly aging since day one.
