Wilkens has been growing fruit in Yorktown Heights for generations. Once the season gets going, Wilkens runs three separate farm markets on the property, each one stocked with pressed cider, fresh donuts, baked pies, and produce from the same acres we're walking through. Peaches start in August, apples arrive toward the end of the month, pumpkins come in late September, and choose-your-own Christmas trees follow right after Thanksgiving.
The season also includes a corn maze and occasional wine tastings, but the real draw is the cider donuts.
