Beacon's Denning's Point makes Beacon Bourbon aged four years in oak, apple brandy, and Everything Bagel vodka on-site in a 19th-century storefront.
Denning's Point sits in a 19th-century storefront in downtown Beacon, one of the small crop of Hudson Valley distilleries running actual grain-to-glass operations. Everything comes off a 250-gallon hybrid copper still, starting with grain bought from farms in the region.
Beacon Bourbon is the flagship: a mash bill of 77 percent corn, 15 percent rye, and 8 percent malted barley, aged a minimum of four years in charred white oak, with vanilla and oaky spice up front and cinnamon, maple, and dark fruit on the finish. The apple brandy starts with heritage Hudson Valley apples and finishes its aging in used bourbon casks.
