Beacon Quality Eats in Beacon offers shawarma and the cold-cut Wifey hoagie from Chef Brian Arnoff and Jeff Silverstein's intentional bodega concept.
Beacon Quality Eats opened on Main Street in April 2025, in the space where Chef Brian Arnoff used to run Kitchen Sink Fine Dining. Arnoff also owns Meyer's Olde Dutch a few doors down, and here he's paired with Jeff Silverstein, a former ad-agency executive who grew up on Brooklyn bodega sandwiches and wanted a Hudson Valley version. The two spent months researching New York City bodegas before opening, and the menu reads like it: Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Afghan, and Vietnamese flavors sitting on the same board.
Order the Chicken Shawarma with grilled thighs, house za'atar, pickled cabbage, and hummus ($14), or The Wifey, a cold-cut hoagie stacked with prosciutto, spicy salami, capicola, and house Italian dressing ($17).
