Ziatun

Ziatun serves Palestinian and Arab home cooking in a narrow storefront on Main Street. The walls are hung with rugs and brass that make the small room feel more like somebody's dining room than a restaurant. The kitchen makes its hummus, baba ganoush, and addas (a red lentil stew) from scratch, and the futur sampler (hummus, baba ganoush, foule, za'atar, olive oil, falafel, and pickled turnips with pita) is the fastest way to taste most of the menu at once.

Beyond these mezze, look for hand-rolled grape leaves, a halloumi platter with tomato, cucumber, and mint, shakshuka, and the shawarma and kofta pita wraps that make up the lunch rush.
