The original 1893 Hudson River Railroad station has been several places. After passenger service ended in 1954, it spent years as a car dealership before reopening as a restaurant in 1972, then settling into its present form in 1985. Wood bookshelves, a fireplace that runs all winter, and the bones of the working station give the tavern room a lived-in character new construction couldn't fake.
The kitchen keeps to burgers, sandwiches, salads, and apps, with truffle fries the one dish regulars order without looking at the menu.
