Blue Duck Brewing in Kingston pairs Phoenicia Diner Canteen's fried chicken sandwiches and weekend pancakes with clean pilsners and lagers by fire pits.
Blue Duck Brewing runs out of the old Daily Freeman building on Hurley Avenue. Since Phoenicia Diner Canteen took over the kitchen in fall 2025, the food has punched above typical taproom fare. The name is deliberate: the diner didn't want visitors searching for it online and expecting French toast at 8am on a Tuesday, but the kitchen style carried over. The fried chicken sandwich (white cheddar, ranch verde, cucumber slaw, milk bread) is a direct relative of the original diner's version, and weekend brunch brings out the pancakes.
