Sourdough from owner starter, fried chicken sandwiches, and cardamom buns at Kingston Bread + Bar in Kingston. Bakery open Friday through Sunday.
Kingston Bread + Bar started as a home sourdough operation in 2017, growing through pop-ups before opening its first storefront on North Front Street. When that lease ended in early 2025, the team moved to 608 Broadway in the old PAKT space, reopening September 29 with a bigger kitchen, liquor license, and daily hours except Tuesdays.
The space keeps the building's tin ceilings, hardwood floors, and exposed brick, with custom furniture built by local craftsman Anthony Shepherd adding warmth throughout.
The sourdough is naturally leavened, made from organic Hudson Valley and New York flour with no commercial yeast.
