Mirador in Kingston models itself on Jerez tabancos with pan con tomate and croquetas, ham hanging over the counter, and an Andalusian sherry list.
Mirador opened on Broadway in late 2023 with one clear idea: Andalusian tapas and sherry, and no drift toward a pan-European menu. Behind the yellow storefront is a dark-wood room modeled on the tabancos of Jerez (sherry taverns built for standing at the bar rather than lingering at a four-top), with seating under 30 inside and a patio that adds about 45 more seats once the weather turns.
Chef Massoud Violette-Sheikh keeps the menu tight and rotating: pan con tomate, croquetas de setas, jamón serrano, and halibut alongside vegetable dishes that get as much attention as the meat. The wine list runs almost entirely Spanish and leans hard into Andalusia.
