Snapper Magee's sits on North Front Street in Kingston's Stockade District, the kind of dive bar where the jukebox (loaded with Billy Joel, Tom Waits, and deep runs of classic rock and punk) has outlasted three renovations elsewhere. The urinals are cut-open beer kegs, the dart board's been there as long as anyone remembers, and there's a foosball table and an old video game console.
Live bands play several nights a month, mostly underground rock, metal, and punk. The room has hosted its share of benefit shows and community fundraisers.
