Sorry Charlie in Kingston serves Detroit-style pies with a crackling cheese-lace edge: Hot Debbie, Curry, Up!, around a communal block table.
Sorry Charlie opened on Delaware Avenue in summer 2024, a collaboration between Davina Thomasula and Kristina Keenan of Poughkeepsie's Goodnight Kenny and the Half Full Hospitality crew behind Hudson & Packard, a Detroit-style pizza shop across the river. The renovated room builds around a long communal block table in the center with hi-top seating around the perimeter. Walk in, grab a stool, no reservations taken.
The pan pizzas are the main draw: 12-inch Detroit-style pies with a crackly cheese-lace edge.
