River Outpost sits at Charles Point, the redeveloped waterfront stretch in Peekskill that once was industrial land, with views of the Hudson from both the dining room and patio. The brewery opened with Justin Sturges, who'd spent nearly a decade at Captain Lawrence getting the tanks running; Marcus Lutter now leads the beer program. Lutter grew up homebrewing with his dad in Ann Arbor, studied chemical engineering, and brings that precision to a rotating lineup of eight-plus beers brewed on site.
