This is a working skate shop with an 8,000-square-foot park built in — a mini ramp with a spine and bowl upstairs, a street course below, and Saturday morning group lessons at 9am for anyone who's never dropped in before.

Heads upLocated in an industrial park; plan on driving. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. Hours vary by day; afternoon/evening hours on weekdays, earlier opening on weekends. Summer camp and special programs fill quickly.

2nd Nature packs about 8,000 square feet of terrain into an industrial park unit off Route 9. The main floor has a street course with rails and ledges, and upstairs there's a mini ramp with a spine and a bowl.

The skate shop up front sells boards, decks, grip tape, and rents gear if you show up without your own, which covers a family that doesn't own skateboards yet.

Saturday mornings from 9 to 11, group lessons run ($50 a session). Coaches dedicate that block to beginners instead of splitting focus with the open-skate crowd. Individual coaching is $80 an hour any day; open skate runs $15 to $20 depending on the day.

The industrial park location means you're driving and parking in a lot rather than walking from downtown Peekskill. It's a clean, supervised indoor space where they run birthday parties, summer camp, and community events that bring back the same regulars season after season.
