The Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie spans 13,000 square feet with 65 top-rope stations and 40-foot walls. The Hudson Valley's only gym of that scale.
The Gravity Vault's Poughkeepsie gym packs 13,000 square feet under a 40-foot ceiling: 65 top-rope stations, 14 lead-climbing lines, and two bouldering areas including a cave and a top-out boulder, plus a moonboard and campus boards for training. It's the only dedicated climbing gym of that size in the Hudson Valley, which is why the lot fills with regulars from Newburgh to Rhinebeck on weeknights.
Walk in with a day pass and you can boulder immediately, no rope, no partner, and no reservation needed. Top-rope climbing requires a belay certification (classes run four times a week) or a staff-run belayed session booked ahead online or by phone.

We went to The Gravity Vault. Here's where it lands.
Everything above is free and stays free. The guide adds the part that took the driving: the tier we gave The Gravity Vault, whether we'd go back, and the caveat we'd tell a friend — plus the same for 459 other places across the Hudson Valley, NY.
