Moonburger's New Paltz counter is a narrow storefront on Main Street where we order at a window, grab a number, and watch the sidewalk while waiting on one of just a handful of stools. The beef patty comes from family farms in Seneca Falls with no added hormones or antibiotics, smashed thin and griddled with double onion, pickle, and special sauce on a Schmidt's potato roll. The Impossible veggie patty gets the same treatment for anyone skipping meat.
Hand-cut fries come with a cheese sauce worth the extra dollar, and the milkshake list rotates flavors like brownie batter alongside the standards.
